Anyone notice that Dr. Laura is `on sabbatical,' according the Sunday's News Press?

Odd that she takes a sabbatical after 6 months or so...

"Inside Santa Barbara" is the monthly news magazine show produced by the City.

Therefore, The Wendy needs to sue the City too.

9:14 PM... Travis and Dr. Laura went missing one Sunday after a rough time for N-P in court and media. Odd alright, 2 days passed before they noted the sabbatical. That was unplanned, she has a machine of workers and writes little in N-P. A week before Laura wrote about Wendy (she's diverse, you know?) and labor, like Travis she writes favorable for the N-P. What did happen? Their secrets are all toxic toward the remaining readers.

I think Craig Smith's blog offers a topic post of its very own:

Reading the excerpts of Craig Smith's conversation with Vlad Kogan, in which Kogan expresses remorse for his role in feeding the anti-Jerry Roberts and anti-union machine, changed my view of the guy completely. I was all up for bashing on him on the blogs. He deserved it. But look what happens when you own up to mistakes. Look what happens when you offer apologies and express that you've at least learned from your mistakes. People are willing to forgive and move on to better things.

Ultimately McCaw, von Porkpattie, Armstrong, Steepleton, etc., have a valueable lesson to learn from this young man - it takes courage to admit when you're wrong - especially in a public forum. The upside is the public will accept you back into the fold quickly for such action.

Funny how the key ingredient missing from the News-Press management's tactical buffet is the expression of apology and remorse. You'd think a skilled and wise sage such as Dr. Laura would have mentioned this base honorable principal to them. I wonder how she missed it? (Perhaps it's because she's a charlatan? I digress).

Anyways, I'm curious to know if McCaw has gone past the point of redemption. What if she just gave Melinda Burns her job back? What if she owned up to all of this - all the lawyering and the fighting just to fight. What if she admitted defeat, apologized for everything, dropped all lawsuits, and truly took a turn. How far do think apology and remorse goes in a situation like this?

Dr.Laura is global. You can see how she is promoted by Samantha Brett in Australia and determine for yourself what she is. Sam says "Psychologist and radio personality Dr Laura Schlessinger backs up the stats. She cites "shacking up with your honey" ...." Sam and the City,January 18, 2007,Sydney Morning Harold Blogs, Australia. Dr. Laura has the best global PR. They would not allow this kind of promotion if it wasn't true?

Now that Craig's back, we should all be asking...Where's Agnes? Nary a press release from her all year. What do you suppose could be the matter?

I wonder if Agnes was a bit chastened by her scolding by Judge Schmidt, who all but called her (and her client by extension) a liar on the witness stand. She and others may be on thin ice that will give way once the judge rules in favor of the union.

Why not be civil? Name calling is fun - when you are 12, or when you are acting 12. When you start to learn how to express yourself, it just gets in the way. We need rational discourse and facts in this time of personal stress, News-Press meltdown stress, and global political stress. Sign me - married to one of the sressed at the News-Press.
