I was leafing through
Coastal Woman today as I was lucky enough to be interviewed for an article and looked perhaps a bit too closely at some eligible bachelors that were featured. On page 27, it says John Palminteri is 47 years old but in a more detailed bio on page 33 says he is 49 years of age....hmmmm. Easy mistake to make and edit to miss....I just hope Michael Stanton is free for dinner Saturday night as I love The Palace.

ReplyDeleteWhat does "Most Eligible" actually imply? Seems like your either eligible or not.
ReplyDelete–adjective 1. fit or proper to be chosen; worthy of choice; desirable: to marry an eligible bachelor.
So what gives them (Coastal Woman) the right to proclaim "the Most elegible". I wonder who those guys had to sleep with to get on the list?
(OK, so I'm bitter I didn't make the list...I need to get out more)
Umm Sara?, If I were a chick, I'd pick Staton too, Physics is my favorite and makes for great date conversations...
sa1 -- showing your stereotypical male viewpoint :)
ReplyDeleteMen do not have to sleep with anyone to get on a list like this my friend....there actually aren't many eligible bachelors around.
Y'all are taken...
9:10 PM -- didn't realize The Baron was one a few years ago but I couldn't publish the anecdote.
ReplyDeleteSara - what about that interview? Was it 'fair and balanced?' Did the CW represent correctly what you said to them? The photo shoot was very limited, but since you also have a real, non-Sara life in SB, anonymous is good. Like the phantom, [oh Ghost that walks], you deserve this 'burka of mystery' so it will be more about the blogging content. Do you think the folks at public access could provide gavel to gavel coverage of this PPV event; the NLRB vs Wendy, Barry [of cease and desist fame] and that 'band of innocent subbeds' who has she missed? Craig, you,the mayor, oprah, Ty, rick, anyone who has read the NP, the angry poodle, the hostile hamster, hope ranch property owners, rob lowe, nick cannon?
ReplyDeleteCoastal Woman did a great job and I was happy to grant them an interview...
ReplyDeleteNice interview, Sara!
ReplyDeleteAre you going to do a post on "Dr." Laura's crazy ranting's in this morning News Suppress.
ReplyDeleteThat's the best publicity the Daily Sound could get to have Dr. Criticize them. HAHA!
As I was leafing through Coastal Women, I stumbled across the article and said Yeah! You "GO", girl.
ReplyDeleteInteresting interview!
None of the bachelors are "my type." I remember years and years ago there was an Annual Bachelor Auction and men and boys were just itching to get put on the Auction Block. There were some real cutie patooties.
Michael Stanton is my favorite bachelor, although David Brown is a close second. That cowboy hat thing just gets me going... Congrats on being featured in Coastal Woman, a very good magazine. Interesting to know a little bit more about you Sara.
ReplyDeleteAnon 12:19 -- no, I would not publish that....why should I? Please see our guidelines at the top of the main page.
ReplyDeletePalminteri is prime time. That guy could have written his own ticket anywhere and gotten the big bucks anywhere, and I love it (and him) that he has stayed here and provided some continuity and warmth in the SB media scene. I'm married, otherwise I would pay some big bucks for a date with him!
ReplyDeleteoh behave......
ReplyDeleteWere any of the bachelors subpoened by Wendy?
ReplyDeleteCookie Jill, Wine Guy, Anons -- thanks for the kind words and your readership.
ReplyDeleteAnon who continues to question BlogaBarbara's purpose -- you are way off topic and I am not going to continue to let you beat me up or waste our reader's time with your one line rants.
ReplyDeleteHave something to say in opposition? Say it in a way that cools down the 'tude and adds to the conversation in a meaningful way. I don't care if you don't agree with me -- but offer something else with a bit of meat to it rather than a 'yo mama'.
Gender and marital status issues aside, how about SDLG as the most eligible bachelor?
ReplyDeleteOn a cyber-date, of course.
mic -- I'm touched at your gallant gesture and publishing this is no admission of gender, marital status or eligibility :)
ReplyDeleteanon 8/09/2007 3:00 PM,
ReplyDeleteWhat's that about? Wasn't her whining about Dr. Seabaugh why he was served papers? She knows nothing about Santa Barbara. How is it the N-P thinks she's an expert? Someone, please fill all the NON N-P in on these events.
I finally picked up a copy of Coastal Woman. I recall having a bit of a laugh over last year's bachelors, but this year there's a good mix of individuals, professions and interests to appeal to any bidding woman. The icing on the cake would have been including one of our current community serving heroes - a fireman!
ReplyDeleteAnd good interview, SDLG.
oh yes a fireman! they are so heroic & buff
ReplyDelete& re the interview- i enjoyed learning more about you sdlg!
