City of Santa Barbara Urges Water Rationing

From the City of SB this morning -- let's conserve our water whether we live in the city or not!. --Sara

SANTA BARBARA, CA – At 9:30 a.m., the Water Resources Division of the City of Santa Barbara is requesting that all businesses and residents in Santa Barbara, Goleta, and Montecito refrain from using non-essential water to allow maximum supplies available for fire fighting.

Thanks. I think the City should have e-mailed out the notices, but perhaps not all organizations have email and it did come up quickly.

This afternoon, the gardeners for the church by Franklin School were watering the grass and washing the sidewalks so much the water was running down the street. I spoke to one of the gardeners who seemed to think I was a busybodying nut, but he did turn off the hose and sprinklers.
