Alternative Links to Local News

An email has been forwarded recetnly which provides alternative links to news for those that are no longer subscribing to the News-Press -- it's a good list of websites with news. I'm unclear who originated it, but appreciate them for putting all of these together. Of course, if you are a News-Press subsciber you can get past the "paywall" of their website, but with just a few reporters now you might as well get your AP and McClatchy news stories straight from the wires.

I am sure there are more and please feel free to include them in comments. If someone wanted to take on a great project and had the time, this would make a great shared bookmark page for

Thank you for including Latino Today on your list of alternative news sites. The site address has changed. It is and is working fine. Also the paper is written in English, not Spanish, so please list with the other English-language papers. Thank you, Jesse Chavarria, owner and publisher.

Excellent compilation. Let me add that is a great resource for Santa Barbara County wines. They have video interviews with winemakers, reviews and events going on here in SB.

Part of Operation Cold Shoulder is to send notices and buy ads in other puplications, such as the ones in this list of the posting.

Here is the full announcement for the Wednesday rally and a description of Operation Cold Shoulder.
