Craig's Got the Lowe-Down!
For an interesting story of E! TV proportions, see Craig's post on Rob Lowe's effort to sue his former staff members for allegedly trying to extort him. It turns out one of them has hired Gloria Allred to be her attorney. For Lowe's part, he's hired one of Wendy McCaw's attorneys to represent his interest in the case which perhaps should have been handled by the Sheriff's Department.

ummmm, sounds like Craig had the scoop TMZ! At least a few days earlier..
Rob Lowe, like Wendy McCaw, has a history of leveraging his wealth and celebrity to skirt the laws of the land instead of owning up to his incredulous acts. Let's not count his selfish battle to build a McMansion against the will of his neighbors, but stick to the matter of how Lowe treats his sexual conquests and household underlings: Isn't it funny how this coward likes to fight comparatively powerless enemies over and over? Would those on this blog - who will undoubtedly suck up to this Hollywood Prettyboy - please explain to me how such lightning strikes the same greasy spot twice?
Rob Lowe made a plea-agreement for having sex with an under-18 year old and videotaping it, as has been documented with the LA Times articles on the topic in this very blog. And Wendy McCaw wanted to shield his address, although sex offenders generally have their addresses in a public database.
That doesn't mean that Lowe's nanny is now telling the truth. She should have sneaked in a tiny video or audio recorder to prove her case. Maybe she is just going for the bucks too. Or maybe we'll hear the audio and see the video on YouTube in due time.
I was sad to read that Pete Clements is involved- he was someone I looked up to during my culinary training at SBCC, and while he worked at Emilios....wonder why he left Cottage to work for the Lowes?
I have never met the Lowes, but have read about the goings ons about the houses and the shrubs on Padaro- they sound very into believing they are close to the tip top of the top level of living.
I admire their commitment to the schools and the fundraising for Montecito schools- anyone should be congratulated for that.
I have to say I am inclined to think this is blackmail- but kinda deserved. Playing it out in the press means $$$$$.
First off - I love your blog, very informative. Secondly, I was a fill-in nanny for Sheryl and Rob some time ago and I must speak in their defense. The Lowe's, in my opinion, are a loving family who treated me with nothing but respect. I feel that these allegations against Rob are far fetched and I wish nothing but the best outcome for the entire family, especially the boys. You are all in my prayers, stay strong!
"Deb" you must be one of those star stuck country girls who goes all ga ga when in the presence of Hollywood. Being a stand in nanny doesn't give you any knowledge about what happens behind closed doors.
