Transparency in Government

Her man at De la Guerra, Travis Armstrong, is correct in calling for a planning commission from the City of Goleta. The Council acting as the Commission may have been appropriate for awhile -- but it's far past time for citizens to be involved in the planning process at this level.

He's also right about televised meetings at Santa Barbara City Hall -- can anyone tell me what's wrong with taping finance committee meetings?

If Ordinance Committee meetings are on City TV, when why not Finance Committee as well?

The election is over, and Secord is almost out the door, so those Finance members have nothing to worry about.

Look for TV coverage to happen fast after the memberships of Finance and Ordinance committees switches in late January.

Secret meetings all around, Santa Barbara City Council, Rep. Duncan holding secret meetings in D.C. to make Santa Rosa Island a Fantasyland for the elite.
We are full-on in the Republican era of government, and that includes the leaderless Democrats.

Trust me ,ma'am..Travis (Wendy in drag) is never right! What next, a helmet-cam for all city employees! All info from city meetings is available to the public..just ask. Now, how about opening up the Newspress operations to the public!
